Consistent routines where possible. Even small consistencies meal timing, a wind-down routine help the body find some rhythm despite an irregular schedule.
Hydration and lighter meals. Dehydration and heavy meals both worsen the groggy, foggy feeling that compounds fatigue on long sectors.
Where Medication Fits In

But this is genuinely different territory to lifestyle use. For commercial pilots and aircrew, any medication using prescription or otherwise needs to be disclosed to and approved through the relevant Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) and aviation medical certification process. This isn’t a formality to skip past; psychoactive medication use directly affects medical fitness to fly, and it’s assessed and monitored accordingly, not self-managed based on an upcoming roster.

What Actually Works
